What’s The Sins of the Father about? (1/5)

They are writing five books in a series called The Clifton Chronicles. They stretch from 1920 all the way through to 2020. They will be covered in five books. The first book, Only Time Will Tell, went from 1920 to 1939.

The second book, The Sins of the Father, picks up the Harry Clifton family.

The family are a child who was born in Bristol with nothing, but at the age of seven discovers he has the most remarkable singing voice, which catapults his life and changes everything overnight. And we follow in the first book that happening of the catapult all the way through to Oxford. In the second book, war is declared.

And both he and his friend, Giles Barrington, and the woman he loves, Emma Barrington, have to face a war and the consequences of that. So book two, The Sins of the Father, goes from 1939 to 1946.

But the father, Hugo, is the villain in the piece.
